Wait, I know it may be difficult to take me seriously because I've given the Kris Jenner volume 4 stars, merely hear me out. It's good. She also dedicates a number of pages to her friend Nicole Brownish Simpson, her decease and friendship/trial of OJ Simpson. It's pretty surreal since she was then close to the whole thing, but also manages to make it a little well-nigh her.

She doesn't cover the sexual practice tape which is essentially how people know Kim, she assembly information technology to her friendship with Paris Hilton. She rambles a lot, name drops constantly and pretty much openly admits that Kim is her favorite, but it'southward all kind of endearing. GOD HOW DOES SHE DO It?! (I hate myself)

"Kris Jenner and all things Kardashian" details Kris's Jenner'south biography and stepping stones to creating the media frenzy currently enjoyed by this family unit. Kris herself came from a modest family groundwork, her grandmother ran a candle store, and her father left them when she was piddling. Kris the teenager has a romance with a professional golfer, and gradually gets introduced to Robert Kardashian, a family-oriented lawyer of Armenian descent who brutal head over heels for her. Kris doesn't feel the same way, and spends a long time brushing him off. By their third coming together he proposes marriage, just Kris isn't interested. She'due south engaged to someone else—fifty-fifty though by this point, she doesn't love him either. Eventually, Kris breaks off her engagement (she's nevertheless really young, and working as a stewardess at the fourth dimension) and marries Robert Kardashian. Wealthy Kardashian leaves in the swanky Beverly Hills and introduces Kris to a life she did not know before. They start a family. Which is where the foundation of the story begins.

There's a lot touched upon this book—Kris's infidelity to Robert with a young 20 something, the disintegration of their marriage and Kris'due south re-marriage to Olympic champion Bruce Jenner, their friendship with Nicole Brown and O.J. Simpson, Robert Kardashian's inclusion in the legal defense force team of O.J. Simpson, likewise as the family'due south adventitious foray into reality-television which created a brand for them out-of-thin air.

Even if you're non a fan of the limelight surrounding the Kardashians, and bluntly I never watched their show, this volume is an interesting look at Kris, a business-savvy adult female who uses what she has to become incredibly rich. While many cease at simply marrying rich, Kris goes one step further. She acts as a managing director for her own daughters, and at one point describes resurrecting Bruce Jenner's career as a public speaker by creating media kits for him. Subsequently her family becomes famous because of the reality shows, she talks virtually supplementing the income with a nutritional supplement business organisation, skin care line, wear line, spin-off shows, etc. At one betoken, she writes "How can I accept these fifteen minutes of fame and turn them into xxx? How tin can I get paid to practice what I dear?" And perhaps this is the chief lesson of the book.

Information technology was interesting to know that Kris is from San Diego and that her family owned a candle store growing up. The first affiliate was very touching on how she described some of the memories as a child in that store. I was and so excited to get this volume for review. I do not watch a lot of reality goggle box just I practice lookout man all the Kardashian shows. I find them to be a nice "escape" for me and one of my "guilty pleasures", even with all Kim'due south drama happening at present with her divorce, simply that's a topic for another day. It is just sorry that it may have taken away from Kris's large launch of this very entertaining and enlightening book.

This book is 98% nigh Kris Jenner'due south life before the Kardashian family entered the television spotlight with their shows. I knew her first husband was part of O.J. Simpson's "Dream Team" but never realized the friendship betwixt Kris and Nicole Simpson. Kris gives us the within view of that friendship and the trial and unique way it touched her whole family unit, including her at present husband Bruce Jenner.

A lot of people say the Kardashian'south are famous for being famous and that may be true. Kris Jenner is the force behind this family and she took what she had to piece of work with and has basically turned it to "golden" for this entire family. You cannot contend her work ethic, she is a successful business organization woman and has passed her drive onto her children. Mistakes were fabricated in her life only she kept going. The book is a testament to perseverance. This book is written with the same mantra as the show, she tells us the good and the bad, the triumphs and the pitfalls.

She did gloss over a few things in the book that I felt should have been addressed only then I realized they weren't part of her story. Allow Kim talk near her trials and tribulations in her own volume someday. The same with the Scott Disick drama, that is for Kourtney to talk about in her own time.

I truly enjoyed this well written memoir. If yous are a fan of the Kardashians you lot will like information technology too.

The book starts off with Kris and her childhood. It spans her adulthood with a pro-golfer boyfriend till she meets Robert Kardashian. So the book sorta goes to a different tone. Its all about her life with Robert, having babies etc. And so comes her matter which ruins her wedlock and it results in divorce. After that she meets Bruce Jenner. After this point, there are nigh 70 pages or so about OJ and Nicole Brown Simpson. Honestly, I knew Kris was friends with Nicole cause she had mentioned information technology earlier. But I didn't really get that they were THAT shut. That part of the story ends at the end of the trial. Then the book is really all most getting clothing stores together, the television set show, and on and on.

The book was pretty interesting, but I felt some things were rushed over or skipped over simply to exist brought up much later. Similar how did they get to know all these famous people, was it just because she met Robert Kardashian, and things like that. Just overall information technology entertained me and I enjoyed information technology.

Ok, I have not been a fan of Keeping upward with the Kardashians. every bit they seem then narcissistic. But, I did enjoy this book. Kris wrote about her early life and about her friendship with Nicole Brown Simpson.
She appears to "Live large", but has a good fourth dimension and enjoys her friends. The volume finished before the
whole Catlin episode.

At first I started to sentinel the reality show simply to become a laugh... at them- not with them. But as the episodes went by information technology became a guilty pleasure and just like that I was hocked. And equally presently as I found out that Kris Jenner had written a book I instantly wanted to read it.

And I must say-
Wow what a strong magnificant woman Kris is! She deserves more credit than she is given. I enjoyed reading the story of her life, all the ups and the downs. She is really honest in this book and that is somethin

Wow what a stiff magnificant woman Kris is! She deserves more than credit than she is given. I enjoyed reading the story of her life, all the ups and the downs. She is really honest in this volume and that is something I admire. Information technology never got tiresome, the writing was good and the phase was just correct.

I read this in just a matter of days (it would exist only i if I had the time). And I highly recommend information technology!

I enjoyed this! Self-serving, celebrity-seeking, name-dropping (my best friend, Nicole Simpson, I didn't know *sob*) Kris "wrote" a fun book. I don't watch the Kardashian shows, have never bought a Kardashian product (I borrowed this audio volume from the library) and think that the family is more trashy than beauteous, BUT you take to admire a woman so driven to succeed that she has fabricated herself, her 6 children and Bruce/Caitlyn richer and more known/notorious then any of them could accept ever d I enjoyed this! Shooot. I wish I had half her ambition, bulldoze and business concern acumen. ...more

The Kardashians are definitely my guilty pleasure. I thought this would be a little more than juicy, but I enjoyed information technology for what it was. I didn't really know all of the circumstances of her divorce, and I also didn't realize simply how close she was to the Nicole Brown Simpson murder. I knew that her ex was OJ's lawyer (ugh) but I didn't realize that her and Nicole were such shut friends. That role of the volume was so sad to read.

All in all, a quick way to pass a Saturday afternoon.
